About When is PoE 2
A small independent fan site that tracks the Path of Exile 2 1.0 launch.
When is PoE 2 is an independent fan site about the launch of Path of Exile 2 1.0. It is not run by, affiliated with or endorsed by Grinding Gear Games, the studio that makes the game. Path of Exile is their trademark. The game's own site is pathofexile2.com.
Every date and fact here comes from the developer's public announcements — news posts, patch notes and the timelines on the Path of Exile forum — or from the major news outlets that report them. Each page links its sources and gives the date we read them. Where something is an estimate, such as the day the 1.0 patch notes are likely to appear, the page says so in words.
We do not copy the developer's texts, images or logos, and we do not sell anything: no items, no currency, no boosting. The summaries of patch notes are our own short readings and always link the full notes.
If a date here ever disagrees with the developer's announcement, the announcement is right. Every page is rechecked against its sources whenever a new announcement, patch or hotfix is posted, and the date of the last check is printed at the bottom of each page.
How the site works
- Dates are rechecked after every announcement and on the day patch notes appear
- Times are shown in UTC and converted to your time zone in your browser
- Launch notifications are optional and can be turned off in your browser at any time
- A notification subscription stores only the browser's push address and a random ID, never a name or email
- Visits are counted by a self-hosted, cookie-free counter that keeps no personal profiles
What a launch notification subscription keeps
| Item | Kept | For how long |
|---|---|---|
| Your browser's push address | Yes, to deliver the notification | Up to 400 days, or until you switch notifications off |
| Topics: launch and patch notes | Yes | Up to 400 days, with the push address |
| A random browser ID of 8 letters and digits | Yes, to count one person once | Up to 400 days, with the push address |
| App installs and opens | Yes, as counts | 120 days |
| An ad-click label, if you arrived from an ad | Only in your own browser | 7 days |
| A one-way hash of the IP address | Yes, only to stop floods | 2 hours |
| Name, email address, plain IP address | No | Never stored |
Notifications can be switched off at any time in your browser's site settings; the address is then deleted on the next send.
